Georgia's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Earmark:

FY 2006: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark is $3,708,974.

The funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Georgia infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

• Standards of Care
• Homes of Quality

FY 2004: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark was $3,626,432.

The funds were used in the following ways to enhance the Georgia infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may have been used to support these activities):

• Georgia Infant and Toddler Quality Network.
  (Contracts will not be renewed upon expiration and these funds have been shifted to support Smart Start Georgia )
• Georgia Outcome and Indicator Framework for Birth through Three Year Olds, which provides measurable outcomes to evaluate programs serving children up to age four years. The framework includes four focus areas: developmental outcomes for young children; child and family well being; quality of and access to services; and systems capacity.
• Smart Start Georgia, which includes scholarships, incentives, tiered reimbursement and technical assistance for providers and programs.
• Infant and Toddler Technical Certificate of Credit, which is offered through technical colleges and includes 5 courses (25 credit hours) based on WestEd’s PITC.
