Staff-to-Child Ratios

 

In Center-Based Care the staff-to-child ratios are

1:5 or 2:12 in the same room for birth to under 12 months; 1:6 for infants (12 to under 18 months); 1:7 for toddlers (18 months to under 2.5 years); 1:8 for toddlers (2.5 to under 3 years)

1:6 (with no more than 3 children under 2 years)

Family child care is not regulated. Certification as a Type B Home is required if the provider cares for publicly funded children.
