| Policies and Procedures Manual California Indian Manpower |
![]() |
Type of Program:
The CIMC serves families and children through a certificate program. The last
annual report stated that 113 children were served.
Effective Program Strategy:
The CIMC has a comprehensive Policies and Procedures Manual which is made
available to their Consortium Tribes as well as to various members of the
child care commuinity, including child care providers. The manual was developed
based on the CCDF program plan preprint. When amendments are made to the plan,
the Policies and Procedures Manual is revised accordingly.
Resources:
Only CCDF funds are used by the CIMC CCDBG Program.
Results:
The
Policies and Procedures Manual expands on the CCDF plan and describes how
the program is implemented and operated. It reflects the input and guidance
of CIMC Tribes and community members since they are involved in reviewing
the CCDF plan. The Policies and Procedures Manual is a valuable resource tool
to CIMC because it assists with the daily operation of the program.
Lessons Learned:
Use your CCDF plan preprint to develop your Policies and Procedures. Set your
Policies and Procedures in a format that is similar to your plan but in a
format that is simple and easy to use for reference.
